Struggle (સંઘર્ષ)
A short story, based on the life of Charles Lamb (1775-1834), an English essayist and best known for his work ‘Dream Children’, was written in Gujarati by me under the title “Sangharsh” (unpublished). I got the base content readily from a college magazine
“Manikyam” in which my short story – “Paritoshik” was also published when I was a post graduation student. In English section, the life sketch of Charles Lamb was written by Dhirendra Bhavsar, a T.Y.B.A. student then. After 30 years, when I was referring my treasure of old collections, I noticed the above article. Here, I thank him very much for using his work. The imaginary characters of Lucy and Samuel were added and an appealing story was created, in the opinion of my friends and some critics.
